About Rev. Mark Fletcher

Mark is the Chaplain of All Saints Vevey and St. Peter’s Château d’Oex. He is married to Angela, and they have two grown up daughters. He served in Parishes in central London for the past 18 years, but has always had a love for the mountains, and has previously done seasonal ministry in Switzerland.

Mark serves full-time at All Saints Vevey during the week, leading a vibrant international congregation of many nations and denominations. Every Sunday, he travels to Château d’Oex to lead the 5:30 PM evening service at St. Peter’s. This unique arrangement allows both congregations to benefit from his pastoral care and ministry.

At All Saints Vevey, Mark oversees a church that has been serving the English-speaking community since 1882, with excellent children’s programs, thoughtful biblical preaching, and a diverse caring community. The main Sunday service at All Saints is at 10:30 AM.

Mark est l’aumônier d’All Saints Vevey et de St. Peter’s Château d’Oex. Il est marié à Angela et ils ont deux filles adultes. Il a servi dans des paroisses du centre de Londres pendant 18 ans, mais a toujours eu un amour pour les montagnes et a déjà exercé un ministère saisonnier en Suisse.

Mark sert à plein temps à All Saints Vevey pendant la semaine, dirigeant une congrégation internationale dynamique de nombreuses nations et dénominations. Chaque dimanche, il se rend à Château d’Oex pour diriger le service du soir à 17h30 à St. Peter’s. Cet arrangement unique permet aux deux congrégations de bénéficier de ses soins pastoraux et de son ministère.

À All Saints Vevey, Mark supervise une église qui sert la communauté anglophone depuis 1882, avec d’excellents programmes pour enfants, une prédication biblique réfléchie et une communauté bienveillante et diverse. Le service principal du dimanche à All Saints est à 10h30.

Our Journey to Switzerland

Notre Voyage en Suisse

I’m married to Angela, and we have two almost grown up daughters. We’ve spent 20 years in parishes in central London, and have served some very diverse and international congregations. My current appointment is as team vicar in Barnsbury, with responsibility for Church on the Corner, a missional church plant within the parish that reaches young adults, and for the last two and a half years I have overseen the whole Parish through both lockdown and a long interregnum. I have also had experience of seasonal ministry in Zermatt and Kandersteg. Beyond the parish I hold a number of Diocesan responsibilities in the areas of church planting, training and developing vocations, I was Chaplain to the Stepney Intern scheme, I am an Assistant Director of Ordinands and also Surrogate for Islington.

We have had a sense for some time of God calling us on to new things and have been genuinely open to whatever and wherever that might be. Our prayer has been to “Trust in the Lord with all your heart, and lean not on your own understanding, and he will make straight your paths” and despite times of real unknowing, God has been faithful to that promise. And we are delighted that we have been called to a part of the world that we love dearly and two churches that are so outward looking and full of life and love.

Our services are at 10.30 every Sunday.

We are a church family of many nations, representing many denominations. We have excellent children and young people’s work and ministry for all ages and stages of life. You will find excellent music, thoughtful biblical preaching, a large and diverse caring community, and a love for Jesus at the heart of all we do.

St. Peter’s Château d’Oex

Nestled in the Swiss Alps, St. Peter’s has been serving the English-speaking community since 1899. We are a warm and welcoming congregation in the heart of the mountains, offering traditional Anglican worship in a stunning alpine setting.

Our service is at 5:30 PM every Sunday.

Mark travels here every Sunday from Vevey to lead our evening worship. We welcome visitors, seasonal residents, and our faithful local community to join us for worship, fellowship, and spiritual nourishment in this beautiful part of Switzerland.
